Queen of Peace Center

Queen of Peace Center is a $10 million-dollar nonprofit organization serving more than 1,000 St. Louis women and their children and families each year.

Since 1985, Queen of Peace Center has focused exclusively on women, children, and families by providing family-centered behavioral healthcare. Our unique model addresses the full continuum of needs for those impacted by substance use disorders, co-occurring disorders, and trauma. Our programs provide treatment, prevention and education, and housing – including ensuring food, medicine, and basic needs are met throughout recovery journeys.

One of eight federated agencies of Catholic Charities of St. Louis, Queen of Peace Center is a separate 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and has its own Board of Directors. We are licensed by the Missouri Department of Mental Health and accredited by the Council on Accreditation. Our funders include the Missouri Department of Mental Health, St. Louis Mental Health Board, Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), Saint Louis City Continuum of Care, and St. Louis County Children’s Service Fund, among others.

What began as a home for women serving women remains a place for women to heal – not only themselves but their family - get treatment, and better their lives. If only these terrazzo-lined halls could talk and share the stories of the women – their struggles and their triumphs – we would hear each of them knocking at our door, asking for help, and together, we would commit again to changing their lives and the lives of their children.
