The College Hill Community Recovery Project is a community-based education, outreach and empowerment program for vulnerable College Hill residents and families. The project takes a comprehensive community- based approach to reduce the alcohol and drug use among women and their families in the neighborhood. Implemented in 2010 with funding from Women on Mission, the project seeks to serve no less than 50 College Hill women and their families at risk for substance use disorders and other risky behaviors. Individualized substance use interventions including SBIRT (Screening, Brief Intervention and Referral to Treatment), CSTAR (Comprehensive Substance Abuse Treatment and Rehabilitation Services), prevention education, mentoring, counseling, cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational enhancement therapy and treatment will be provided to reach project goals and outcomes.
