After it is filled out, the Volunteer Application can be emailed, mailed, or dropped off to the Development Department at Cathedral Tower.

*All volunteers providing direct service and/or committing to over 20 hours of service are required to complete a background check, attend a Protecting God’s Children training, have a drug screening, and provide proof of a negative TB test within the last 12 months. Anyone that is under the age of 18 or is 18, but has not graduated high school, is excused from having a background check, drug screening, and attending the Protecting God’s Children training. However, they will need to fill out our Ethical Conduct For Minors Volunteering or Working With Younger Children form and still provide proof of a negative TB test within the last 12 months. Anyone under the age of 14 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian while volunteering.*

The Queen of Peace Center Ambassador Board will support the organization’s mission to provide family-centered behavioral healthcare to women with addictions, their children and families.  The Ambassadors will assist Queen of Peace Center achieve strategic fundraising and development goals. The Ambassador Board will also provide a networking opportunity for its members. The Ambassador Board will serve in an advisory and support role and have no authority to make decisions for Queen of Peace Center.

This is a friend’s board; supporters who help us spread the word.

Ambassador Commitments 

  1. Know the mission of Queen of Peace Center and support it.
  2. Participate in at least one special event.
  3. Assist in identifying and soliciting business partners.
  4. Connect QOPC with corporate philanthropic programs.
  5. Recruit new Ambassadors.
  6. Consider an annual gift to QOPC.
  7. Consider hosting a house party.
  8. Volunteer.



  1.  There will be no limit on the number of Ambassadors.
  2.  An Ambassador will serve a two year renewable term.


The Ambassador Board will meet no more than twice per year.


Members of the Ambassador Board will receive special invitations to events and their efforts to support the mission of Queen of Peace Center will be recognized through various QOPC communications.

Our Master level students will participate in individual and group counseling, group education, treatment plan development and treatment plan review (case review).

Our Bachelor level students will participate in case management, group education, treatment plan development and treatment plan review (case review).

The students will be assigned a caseload based on her or his background and prior experience. The student will be background screened, oriented and trained as consistent with a new employee. A letter from the student’s academic advisor attesting to their qualifications and eligibility for the proposed practicum is required. Supervision is provided by Master Level Practitioners all who work closely with the student.

We are always looking for a great intern. There is a lot of flexibility in intern learning agreements. Interns will have extensive client contact, and a variety of experiences available with treating substance abuse, co-occurring disorders, family issues and housing issues.

Queen of Peace Center (QOPC) is seeking an intern who wishes to provide management support to the administration team.

Queen of Peace Center is a family-centered behavioral healthcare provider for women with addiction, their children and families. As the largest comprehensive substance treatment and rehabilitation provider for women and children in the state of Missouri, QOPC serves over 3,000 individuals a year through prevention, education, treatment and housing support.

Students working in administration are exposed to all levels of management and direct services at QOPC.  The work builds valuable skills in evaluation, coordination and administration of a not-for-profit organization.


Accreditation Support – Help prepare for our 2017 accreditation including compiling documentation, developing assistive information for compliance, and working with staff to address standards.

Quality Improvement-– Assist with client and staff satisfaction surveys. Compile and analyze data and outcomes. Collaborate with QI department to disseminate data. Assist with case file reviews and clinical quality controls.

Fund Development-  Assist the development department with marketing and communication efforts, fundraisers, mailings and donations.

Administration: Provide general support and assistance with program development, board relations, strategic planning and special projects.
